Until today, there is no available treatment for the HIV disease. There are drugs that can prevent the fast spread of the disease, but it cannot completely cure HIV. The only way to treat patients is to undergo therapy. Thus, HIV and AIDS are still prevalent in the
African countries where access to medical facilities and treatment are both poor and difficult. Each year, there are five million people around the globe who are infected by the virus.
The World Health Organization is working hard to prevent the spread of the disease. It is engaged in massive campaign on how to
prevent disease. Various studies have been made on how to cure this killer disease. However, the programs for these efforts are quite successful in controlling the spread of HIV. There is one research study that says that number of infected patients had decreased. Also, there is a decreased number of casualties of infected pregnant women. The countries with declining number of cases are Zambia, Uganda, India, Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, Haiti, and Zimbabwe. The only thing we can do to help stop the spread of the disease is to make ourselves free of the virus. Always keep in mind that
living healthy ways is the best protection.
